Snow Days, Hot Chocolate, and Cozy Tees
We’ve already had our first real snowfall here in Nebraska, and our boys could not have been more excited. The moment the flakes started falling, they were pulling on boots and gloves, racing each other outside, and seeing who could make the first snow tracks in the yard. They love the cold-weather fun — but honestly, their favorite part of snow days comes afterward. There’s nothing better than all of us coming back inside together with cold cheeks, messy hair, and that happy-tired energy only snow can create, then settling around the table with big mugs of hot chocolate. Those slow, warm moments are what make this season feel so special.
One of my favorite memories so far is of our middle son, Noah, running around outside in his Sleighin’ It long sleeve tee. He wore it proudly while tossing snow in the air, and even prouder when he came inside and wrapped up in a blanket. Seeing him enjoy something we created — something fun and cozy that he genuinely loves to wear — is one of the things that keeps us inspired.
This time of year naturally brings a shift. We spend more time together, more time indoors, and more time noticing the little things that make our family feel connected. The boys end up in their favorite long sleeves and sweatshirts most days, not because they’re trying to be festive, but because they just feel good — soft, warm, easy to move in, and perfect for everything from playing in the snow to watching movies under a pile of blankets.
Winter has a way of slowing us down and giving us space to breathe. These moments — snowy play, warm drinks, cozy clothes, quiet evenings — are where memories are made and new ideas find their way into our conversations. It’s a season that reminds us why we love what we do and who we do it for.
From our family to yours, we hope this season brings warmth, rest, and plenty of simple moments that feel just as good as hot chocolate after a snowy day.
